Terms of Service

Own the Court (hexhoops.com) is a free collection of NBA-themed trivia games. Play fair, don't abuse the service or other players, and understand that the games are provided as-is, for fun. By using the site — with or without an account — you agree to these terms.

We provide browser games with daily puzzles, optional accounts, streaks, and public leaderboards. The service is free and may change at any time: we may add, modify, or retire games, puzzles, or features without notice.

Not affiliated with the NBA. Own the Court is an independent fan project. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the National Basketball Association, its teams, or its players. Team and player names are used solely to identify real-world basketball facts; all trademarks remain the property of their owners. Statistics come from publicly available sources and may contain errors.

• An account (Google or email sign-in) is optional — every game works without one. Accounts only sync your streaks, best scores, and profile across devices.
• You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for activity on your account.
• You must provide a working email address that you control.
• You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and its cloud data, contact us (see below) and we'll remove both.

You agree not to:

• cheat the games or leaderboards — including automating play, forging requests, or exploiting bugs (report bugs instead, we'll be grateful);
• choose a nickname that is offensive, impersonates someone else, or contains personal data — nicknames are shown publicly on leaderboards and we may reset ones that break this rule;
• disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
• use the service where doing so would violate laws that apply to you.

We may remove leaderboard entries, reset nicknames, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

The site may show advertising (Google AdSense) to keep the games free. What data is involved — and your choices about it — is described in our Privacy Policy.

The games, code, design, and original content of Own the Court are ours. You may share your results (that's what the share button is for) and link to the site freely. You may not copy, resell, or republish the service itself.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of statistics, or the preservation of streaks, scores, or other data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. It's a free basketball game — please treat it as one.

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Croatia, where the service is operated from. For account deletion, nickname issues, or anything else about these terms, email contact@hexhoops.com.
